🌐 PREMIERE IN ROMANIA: ORADEA WILL HAVE THE FIRST TRAM-TRAIN THAT WILL CONNECT THE METROPOLITAN AREA 🌐 ✅️ Oradea marks a national premiere in the field of public transport by launching the "Tram-train" project, an innovative system that will allow vehicles to circulate both on the city's tram lines and on the regional railway network. The investment is 280 million euros of European funds, being a huge step towards modern and civilized mobility. ✅️ The new metropolitan network will have a total length of over 33 kilometers, including the rehabilitation and electrification of 24 kilometers of railway. The project will directly connect Oradea with strategic points such as the Airport, the resorts of Băile Felix and 1 Mai, but also the localities of Cordău, Toboliu and Borș. This infrastructure will serve thousands of people who come to the city for work, school or medical services every day, significantly reducing the time spent in traffic. ✅️ The plan includes the development of 27 modern stations and the purchase of 14 tram-train vehicles, for which the Bihor County Council has already launched a tender.
