Education and water for a Maasai community in Kenya
Ilesai is a remote rural Maasai community around 150 kilometres south of Nairobi. The Kenya Evangelical Lutheran Church (KELC), in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity Kenya, built a two-classroom primary school there, complete with sanitary facilities, a canteen and a water supply for the school and the community. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria supported the construction through Mission EineWelt and with the help of a major donor.
