The internal nodes are meticulously burned away to create a hollow chamber, with a blowhole carved at one end. Using heated metal rods, the artisan precisely burns the finger holes, carefully tuning each one for a perfect pitch. The flute is then sanded smooth and often finished with decorative thread bindings. In this episode, we've explored how a simple piece of bamboo is transformed into a soulful musical instrument through generations of craftsmanship.
