1º DIA DE EXPEDIÇÃO PARA O PERU - DESLOCAMENTO NO BRASIL
🛣️ THE STRETCH: Rio de Janeiro ➔ São Paulo ➔ Maringá The first day of an expedition is always a mix of anxiety and focus. We left Rio de Janeiro with our foot on the gas and our hearts already in the Andes. This initial stretch cuts through the heart of the Southeast towards the South, crossing states that are fundamental to the logistics of the trip. 📍 The Day's Route: Leaving Rio: Farewell to sea level. We took the Via Dutra (BR-116), a stretch with heavy traffic, but with good infrastructure. It's time to adjust the pace of the road and check if all the cargo is well secured. The "Knot" of São Paulo: Crossing the capital of São Paulo or using the Rodoanel (ring road) is always strategic. We opted for the smoother route to save time and access the Castelo Branco Highway (SP-280) or the Raposo Tavares Highway, depending on the route strategy for the interior. Heading Inland: The landscape begins to change. The mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro gives way to the wider horizon of the interior of São Paulo state, with its sugarcane and coffee plantations, until reaching the border with Paraná. Arrival in Maringá: The "Song City" welcomes us with its wide, tree-lined avenues. It's the perfect stopping point for the first overnight stay before continuing towards Foz do Iguaçu and, finally, the border. 🗒️ Road Notes: Total Distance: Approximately 950km to 1,000km (depending on the starting point in Rio de Janeiro). Challenge: The physical exhaustion of the long first day and the extra attention needed for speed cameras and tolls in São Paulo. Highlight: Watching the sunset on the road already in Paraná, knowing that each kilometer brings us closer to the Andes. "First gear engaged! 🚀 We left Rio de Janeiro, crossed the chaos and immensity of São Paulo, and just arrived in Maringá/PR. It was almost 1,000km of asphalt today. The body is tired, but the mind is already in Peru. Brazil is gigantic, and this is just the gateway to what's to come. Tomorrow there's more road! 🌎💨 #ExpeditionPeru #RoadTrip #FromRioToPeru #Maringá #OnTheRoad #Overland" Here you will find tips to plan your next trip. The true art of traveling...
