ISLAND OF OFFERINGS: What’s hiding on this remote Sri Lankan island?

In this video, we set out from Jaffna to explore the remote and mystical Nainativu Island in northern Sri Lanka, once a place of snake worship. Join us as we visit the Nagadeepa Purana Viharaya , a sacred Buddhist site where Buddha is believed to have left his footprint. Next, we explore the Nainativu Nagapooshani Amman Temple , a major Tamil temple dedicated to the goddess Parvati, where thousands bring coconut offerings each day. The journey didn’t stop there! We ventured deeper into the island and discovered a mosque, a church, and encountered lots of wildlife—including a not-so-friendly dog! With temperatures soaring, we decided to make our way back before the island heat got unbearable.
