Canola Roller 2025 – Greyton Gravel Race Recap

This year’s Canola Roller Gravel Race in Greyton, Western Cape was pure endurance chaos! 💨🌾 The first 40 km started fast with a 34 km/h average speed, but from 42–81 km we faced a relentless block headwind and punishing crosswinds. I had to push 320–350 watts up every climb 🥵—the worst wind I’ve ever raced in. Just when I thought it couldn’t get tougher, disaster struck in the last 20 km when my E-thirteen cassette broke, costing me 50+ minutes. Despite the setback, I fought through the exhaustion and rolled across the finish line. This is gravel racing in its rawest form: fast, wild, and unpredictable.
