06-25-26 Breaking Free of Barriers

What if the mountains before us are first dissolved within us? Through the mystery of being of one accord—within ourselves and with one another—we awaken the resurrection power that moves every barrier by the grace of the Living Presence. From the sermon and discourse last Shabbat, I'm marveling at the power of being of one accord describing the community gathered in the upper room awaiting Pentecost. Because their accord was within to without and with one another, the fullness of the resurrection clothed all of them, each as they were able to receive. This recalls a teaching from Thomas 48: If two make peace in one house, they will say to this mountain, "Move!" and it will move. Barriers of any kind begin inside. Much of any struggle is often a distraction from inwardness. We see in Yeshua and Mirya's example that inwardness conquers the world. Our devotion tonight will extend the Shabbat message of breaking out of our limits and pushing our boundaries we or others have imposed upon us. Through deep inner technology, in the grace of the Presence, we will come to inwardness and peace within the house of our life, to say to anything overwhelming, "Move!" and it shall move!
