Indonesian Cultural Night - Indonesia Folk Song and Dance by SIB
Jaranan (Central Java) ‘Jaranan’ in Javanese means playing as if you are riding a horse. The song tells a story of respecting the leader and keeping harmony in life while enjoying the ride. Sajojo (Papua the eastern-most island of Indonesia) ‘Sajojo’ describes a story of a man asking permission from the parent of a woman to take her for a walk. The song accompanies a typical social dance with energetic movement, full of joy and the spirit of togetherness.
