Where is anyone to care for these helpless, terrified orphans? • Trampled by cruelty, Abbas and Hussain lay upon the dust. The Holy Family is trapped in calamities, surrounded by disasters. • In the midst of this storm of oppression, a radiant resolve stands firm. Standing alone in the plains now is the daughter of Ali. • She gathered the children, and then tended to the ailing Imam. In every single sorrow, Zainab saw nothing but the will of her Lord. • Her brothers are gone; Aun and Muhammad too have departed. Yet, Zainab did not allow the resolve of Hussain to be defeated. • From the Night of the Forsaken, the journey of captivity began—a journey of iron collars, ropes, Kufa, the marketplaces, and sleepless dawns. • The enemies believed that they had won the battle. But history stands witness that they are the ones who lost. • The tents were burned, but the light of truth could not be altered.
