Настоящий Амстердам начинается там, куда не доходят туристы
Amsterdam is one of the most popular cities in Europe. It's known as the capital of freedom, a city of bicycles, canals, coffee shops, and a Red Light District. But what's the real Amsterdam like when you step outside the tourist traps? My journey through the Netherlands continues. On my last day in Amsterdam, I decided to stroll around the city at leisure and try to understand what life is like in the Dutch capital outside the tourist hub. In this episode, we'll visit the Vondelpark, Amsterdam's main park, and discuss green spaces and the urban environment, the culture of open windows, and the non-touristy areas of the Dutch capital. We'll also explore the topic of Amsterdam's coffee shops: how the regulatory system works, why they've become part of the city's culture, and why locals find them much more peaceful than many tourists expect. Amsterdam regularly ranks among the cities with the highest quality of life in Europe. Here, space is organized for people, not cars, and green spaces play an important role in everyday life. Did I get to know the real Amsterdam? Is it a city of disappointment or a lifelong love? And is it worth returning? Find out in the new issue. What awaits us: 📍 Vondelpark – Amsterdam's main park, its history and atmosphere 📍 Non-touristy Amsterdam and neighborhoods outside the center 📍 Green spaces, bicycles, and urban planning in the Netherlands 📍 Open window culture and everyday Dutch life 📍 Amsterdam coffee shops – how do they work? 📍 My honest conclusions about Amsterdam Timecodes: 00:00 Last day in Amsterdam: did I understand the city? 00:55 Vondelpark: The History of Amsterdam's Main Park and Its Atmosphere 03:54 Green Spaces and Urbanism in the Netherlands 06:02 Non-Touristy Amsterdam 07:00 Open Window Culture in the Netherlands 08:04 What a Cozy Amsterdam Courtyard Looks Like 08:56 Legalize in the Netherlands: Amsterdam's Coffeeshop Culture – How Does It Work? 10:45 My Impressions of Amsterdam.
