Paraguayo con tobillera electrónica detenido en Brasil
A Paraguayan citizen was arrested in Pedro Juan Caballero after a police chase that began when he was driving with his lights off. Upon inspecting the vehicle, authorities discovered a shipment of marijuana packaged in black bundles inside the passenger compartment. The suspect, identified as Gilberto Páez, was wearing an electronic ankle monitor linked to a drug trafficking case in Brazil. Despite being under digital monitoring since 2022, he managed to cross the border without triggering the Brazilian security system's alarms. He remains in custody while authorities coordinate with the Brazilian Military Police.
