God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus died for our sins on the cross and by faith in his shed blood and resurrection from the dead we may receive forgiveness for ours sins and the gift of eternal life, receiving God's Spirit and becoming sons of God.
