VETTER - Under Sorte Øine

REKVIEM is mighty proud to present the third album from Norwegian black metal entity VETTER, 'Sort var Bogen der Bragte Os Hid', to be released on LP, CD and digital formats late summer. The creation of Haavard Tveito, who's handling all vocals & instruments save drums, and composing and recording everything himself, as well as doing all artwork, VETTER has remained a hidden treasure in the Norwegian black metal underground ever since its inception, never being afraid of mixing traditional elements with the unexpected. Having released two previous full-lengths; 'Vetterkult" (Demonhood 2012) & 'Av Sublim Natur' (Duplicate 2021) and a split 12" with FYRNASK (Duplicate 2025), VETTER has steadily gained a following, and built towards the crowning achievement which is now ready for the world to behold. 'Sort var Bogen der Bragte Os Hid' is a concept album drawing inspiration from ancient Norwegian Folklore and the re-enchantment of nature, drawing from the teachings of a Norwegian black book from the 1400s. The album is a journey down an old path not often visited and features a stronger focus on classic riffs, atmosphere and structure. The LP/CD clocks in at just over 40 minutes and spans between acoustic elements and ferocious Black Metal. The lineup is continued with Haavard Tveito on vocals and instruments and Nils Martin Haugfos on drums. The album was once again recorded at Ship of Rats, with drums recorded at the Burial Mound. The stars have indeed aligned, and 'Sort var Bogen der Bragte Os Hid' is an epic work of atmospheric black metal that is most likely to strike a chord with followers of early ULVER, DJEVEL,VEMOD and the likes.
