60. CASIO CT-X3000: RHYTHM CONTROLS & DAW EDITING

In this video I demonstrate the RHYTHM CONTROLS on the Casio CT-X3000. Whilst they function in a fairly obvious and standard way, there are some surprises - for instance, the SYNCHRO STOP button which stops the RHYTHM abruptly when you lift your fingers off the keys in the lower half of the keyboard. It takes a little bit of practise to turn SYNCHRO STOP on and off, to make it behave in a musical way. So my suggestion is that you record what you want into a DAW such as Garage Band or Cubase, and then create a backing track made up of audio clips. This allows you to tailor the start and stop of rhythms for a particular song, without having to continually press buttons multiple of times during a song. A footswitch can be useful, but even that doesn't always behave as you might want - it only restarts the rhythm and not the musical phrases of a RHYTHM. I hope you find these suggestions useful for your particular needs. 0:00 Title and intro 0:44 START/STOP 0:53 ACCOMP 1:20 SYNCHRO START 1:59 VAR 1-4, PLUS FILLS 2:38 ENDING (STOP) 2:54 INTRO (START) 3:07 INTRO + SYNCHRO START 3:23 ...TO VAR #1 (-4) 3:36 ...TO VAR #2 3:52 SYNCRO STOP 4:12 START = ON, STOP = OFF 5:18 "BLAND" ACCOMP SOUND 5:29 SYNCHRO STOP SOUND 5:45 STOP/START FOOTSWITCH 5:53 FUNCTION 6:18 L(1) : R(3) 6:27 "CONTRLLR", ENTER (6) 6:33 "PEDAL" ENTER (6) 6:46 L(1) : R(3) 6:57 SELECT "4 RHY/SONG" 7:13 "PD2 ENABL" 7:52 REPLAY CHORDS! 9:13 DAW - RECORD & EDIT 10:00 CUBASE ELEMENTS (DAW) 10:04 CASIO RHYTHM TRACK 10:08 CHANGE TEMPO TO MATCH 10:24 DAW METRONOME 11:09 GAP AT BEGINNING 12:12 TRIM ENDING 12:42 CREATE MORE CLIPS 12:51 CREATE ARRANGEMENT 13:20 ADD INSTRUMENTAL PARTS 13:59 THANKS
