Marty Robbins You Gave Me A Mountain
Written by Marty for Frankie Laine it brought Frank back to the upper echelons of the Hot 100 for the first time in years. Elvis Presley liked the song so much that he started including the song regularly in his concert performances, but never actually recorded the song although his performance of it is many of his 'live' albums. Other artists such as Johnny Bush (who had a Country top 10 with it) Gene Watson, Eddy Arnold, Don Gibson, Ray Price and Jim Nabors also recorded the song. I would like to thank Tom Barton from Texas for graciously allowing me to use some of his excellent photos in the clip. Cheers Tom. I would also like to draw attention to the first clip which shows the new DVD of Marty's 'legendary Performances' which has just been released. For any die-hard Marty fan the DVD is a must showing clips over a wide spectrum of his career.
