'April' @WaterfallAcrylics Inspired School Glue Bloom - Full Mixing Tutorial for Beginners

This is My Biggest One Ever! A 16"x20" School Glue Bloom! I was so in love with a painting that Karen of ‪@WaterfallAcrylics‬ did last week    • 496. New Color Palette!!  Experience the M...   and being the crazy lady that I am, I thought..."I wonder if I could pull something like that off using just my school glue medium?" Well, itches were made to be scratched so here we are and I'm in love with this piece!! There were a couple of "Happy Accidents" but I can't wait to try this again with some of the other beautiful color palettes that Karen puts together! I hope you enjoy my take on the bloom. Remember not everyone is fortunate enough to afford some of the products used by others, but still yearn to create like their favorite artists. I mix my Tube Paint Colors 1part Paint to 2 parts Pouring Medium The "cell activator" is 1prt Amsterdam Opaque (In this case Oxide Black) mixed with 3prts School Glue pouring medium. For the Pigments I used Liquitex Gloss Varnish (Red Label) as a wetting agent and after the pigments are fully wet, I then mixed in 2prts School glue pouring medium just like my tube paints. You can add a Gloss Gel medium if needed to thicken them up.
