A Tribute to John MacArthur

What I appreciated most about John MacArthur was his unwaivering commitment to pointing people back to Scripture. That foundation also shaped his friendship with R.C. Sproul—two Christian brothers who didn’t always agree theologically but showed that a shared love for God’s Word can lead to a strong, lasting friendship. Both were known for their favorite beverages—something that became a bit of an inside joke among those who followed their ministries.
