Savage 10/110 Bolt Head Swap, Caliber Change & Bolt Disassembly
A complete disassembly of a Savage 10/110 Short Action bolt and bolt head swap. I'm prepping my rifle for a caliber change to 7 SAUM. Savage rifles are unique in the fact of simple upgrades and DIY gunsmithing, Barrel swaps and caliber changes can be done with minimal tools. While precision upgrades like this PTG precision ground bolt head can be installed. Savage rifles utilize a free floating bolt head which allows for better centering of a fitted cartridge without the up cost of having your action blue printed. Firing pin depth aswell as spring tension are easily adjustable as well. In this video ill go over the steps to completely dissemble the bolt and swap the bolt head
