Wizard Island at Crater Lake National Park

This Park Travel Short is about Wizard Island at Crater Lake National Park. In July of 2016, we took a boat tour of Crater Lake and hiked to the summit of Wizard Island. Please subscribe to our channel if you enjoy exploring our parks and public lands. This cinder cone rises 736 feet out of Crater Lake. It was a great way to see the lake and the inside of the caldera. The hike to the summit of Wizard Island is strenuous, but only for the incline/decline. The tour gives you plenty of time to get to the summit and back down. We highly recommend this hike for people that want a new view of one of the beautiful places on Earth. For this tour you start at Cleetwood Cove Trail.This trail is 1.1miles and drops 700 in elevation.
