"Then It Rains" - This is an original song written from the perspective of Leon S. Kennedy, reflecting on his journey from the Raccoon City incident to RE4 and beyond. It serves as both a tribute and a first-person character study. In January, I stepped into the shoes of a rookie cop in Raccoon City for the first time. Within the first five minutes of RE2, I noticed something about Leon: every time he stepped into the rain, he flinched. At the time, I even joked, “Leon, you’re kind of a meow meow,” because of how much he recoiled. But as I “lived” through his story over the next four months and three games, that joke turned into a deeper realization. When I saw him flinch again in the RE4 Remake, it solidified it for me. I decided it wasn’t just an animation — it felt like a physical manifestation of everything he’s carried since that first rainy night in Raccoon City. This song, “Then It Rains,” is my attempt to process the weight of that flinch. It’s about the “souvenirs” Leon carries with him and the vow he took to keep pushing forward, even when the world feels like it’s turning to ash. It’s his voice, his perspective, and his survival. ⚠️ Contains story moments from Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, plus brief non-spoiler scenes from Resident Evil Requiem.
