I tried traveling from Manila to Mindanao islands via Butuan, why? Cebu Pacific, one of my favourite airlines has more flights to Butuan, cheaper flights and the planes are bigger so the air travel time is lesser than 2hrs and I can bring my golf clubs, if needed. While delays are expected in Manila to Butuan route due to busy traffic in NAIA, the return flight compensates with early arrival in Manila. The transit also allows for family, friends and relatives bonding in Butuan. Butuan offers a variety of road transportation connecting other main cities in Mindanao. The transit hotels are very affordable. Best to call them directly than booking online for better deals. Airport hotel van pick up only cost P250 per passenger. Supplies are also available and plenty, with big SM, Robinsons, Gaisano shops for some retail theraphy. #travel #cebupacific #Philippines #manila #butuan
