It also has become an extremely effective tool for external sources to manipulate users into believing lies and fake news to push their agendas. News outlets such as Fox News, OAN and various conservative right wing outlets have become prominent on Facebook, along with right wing figures such as Ben Shapiro and his site, The Daily Wire. Boomers are a generation that have become especially vulnerable to the echo chamber created in social networks like Facebook, due to the repetitive nature of how information in distributed, and how algorithms feed upon outrage. As a result, many have been radicalized by constant exposure to lies, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has no interest in fixing the most efficient propaganda machine ever created.
