Catholic Crafty Kids: Storm bottles

Two choices of craft this week, as we represent the storm calmed by Jesus. Use some of the science in creation and a little engineering to create a bottle either with a boat or with floaters & sinkers to explore the storm, and the calm afterward. Science tip: while you may have found items that float/sink in calm water/oil, when you shake a bottle air can become trapped in hollow things, causing them to float while you expect them to sink. We also talked about how water tension can hold your boat in capsized position, but your heavy keel will help right it. What in our faith lives might act like those buoying bubbles or that water tension holding us down?
