Joe Ely - "Oh Boy"
Irish TV session, 1980's. It's Joe Ely , accompanied by the magnificent David Grissom on Lead guitar. Ely announces he will recreate a Texas Honkytonk atmosphere by assembling a "gee-tar army" onstage. Included in this unlikely shennanigan are Irish musicians Phillip Donnelly (In top form and REALLY rippin' it up) and Conor Brady, later to be associated with the Corrs. Young Master Brady gives a good account of himself and treats us to a wild Celtic dance. Either that or he keeps tripping over his own shoe laces.... Finally, the delightfully sexy Rosie Flores gets a guitar break. Interesting piece of guitar history. Apologies for quality, which is not helped by the over-use of red and blue spotlights. http://www.dublinrecords.ie/
