Journeys to Judaism: Rabbi Lisa Rubin and CEJ Alumni in Conversation

For the last 15 years, Rabbi Lisa Rubin has guided thousands of students through their personal journeys to Judaism as the director of Central Synagogue’s Center for Exploring Judaism (CEJ). Every individual she meets is unique, and so, too, is their journey to conversion. Each person who passes through the doors of CEJ makes a deeply personal decision to explore their connection to Jewish history, holidays, theology, prayer, and community. During this panel, Rabbi Lisa Rubin will guide a conversation between a diverse group of CEJ alumni as they share with us their uniquely Jewish American stories and their varied conversion journeys. As we celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month during May, Central Synagogue celebrates the stories and journeys that we may not know.
