Virtual Festival 2025 - Oxford University Scottish Dance Society 1

Thousands of people come to Oxford to celebrate 1st May each year. The celebrations begin early at 6am when the Choir of Magdalen College sings madrigals from the tower. Shortly afterwards the Oxford University Scottish Dance Society dance in Radcliffe Square to live bagpipes, before finishing the morning with a slap up breakfast. We hope you enjoy this display that celebrates our local dance tradition, featuring dances we often dance on May Morning. The dances featured are The Mayflower, Radcliffe Square, Mairi's Wedding, The Earl of Mansfield and The Wedding Toast.
