It's been a long time since we've posted videos about the latest rental car claims, and this episode has deeply upset us again: my Renault Symbol was totaled. The insurance process, from opening a file to receiving the total loss certificate, took a very long time; ridiculous things happened. This year, they added a 20% total loss deductible to the insurance policies, specifically the rental car insurance I have. What does this mean? When a car is totaled, they will pay 80% of the insurance value. However, when they apply this deductible, the total loss amount isn't covered, and they refuse to repair it. Finally, they drove me crazy, and when they couldn't find an answer, they agreed to declare it a total loss.
