Perspektive Hochbegabung. Wie es ist, so zu sein
What does it mean to think differently? Faster, deeper, further, and sometimes too much. The film "Perspective: Giftedness – What It's Like to Be This Way" gives gifted individuals a space to share their experiences: authentic, reflective, and as unique as each person and their talents. The film gives voice to people who speak about a way of thinking that is constantly evolving. About questions that never cease. About the joy of understanding, but also about boredom, lack of challenge, and the feeling of not fitting into predetermined structures. School, education, and career play a role, as do experiences of success where freedoms are created, individual paths become possible, and talent is recognized as potential. The film makes it clear: Giftedness is not a uniform experience. It manifests itself in different perspectives, life paths, and needs. Across all individual experiences, there is a shared desire for understanding, suitable learning and working environments, and people who are willing to explore new paths. To accompany the film, the Karg Foundation's specialist portal for giftedness features the article "Conditions for Successful Life Courses of Gifted Individuals" by Junior Professor Dr. Julia Schiefer, Professor of Psychology at the Ludwigsburg University of Education. From the perspective of giftedness research and counseling practice, the article examines which factors support favorable developmental trajectories in gifted children and adolescents and under which conditions development can also take an unfavorable course.
