Cutthroat & Bull Trout Fly Fishing in Idaho’s Backcountry!

Summer 2024 fly fishing season has been incredible so far! In this stream, we had lights out fishing catching tons of huge cutthroat trout and a few nice bull trout. These fish were eager to blow up on dry flies and were smacking streamers all day long. Our average cutthroat measured 15 inches long and had some huge bull trout chase these fish around the pools. We stuck to dry fly fishing and streamer fishing in this video because we had no need to nymph these fish were so hungry for a larger presented fly. Big white and olive streamers and chubby Chernobyls were the exact flies we used in this film.
