Blackheads on nose | Skincare tips | Dr Jaishree Sharad

If you have blackheads on the nose: Use a salicylic acid based face wash which will help to unclog the pores. You can also use a salicylic acid based serum or a retinol serum or cream don’t use both use either two or three times in a week. Your dermatologist may also prescribe certain anti acne creams if you have acne on the face as well. Sometimes chemical exfoliation or microdermabrasion at skin clinic really helps. There may be hair follicles on the nose which also look like blackheads so if that is the case a laser hair removal helps. But blackheads on the nose are very normal. so oil glands secrete something called sebum and when there is excessive sebum it clogs the pores and that sebum gets oxide when expose to light and becomes black.
