The Truth About Living in the Hmong Communities of Northern Vietnam - SAPA

On this day I had the pleasure to sit down with a lovely young entrepreneur from Sapa's 'Black Hmong' community. We got to chat about everything from popular local foods to cultural beliefs and traditions of the ethnic people's of Sapa and Vietnam. I learned so much that I had never known or fully understood about how these people survive life in this difficult climate and terrain. I hope that you enjoy our talk and can follow up with any questions that you might have about Chu and her families homestay or trekking services. On a personal note... Every time I visit Sapa, I find myself staying further away from the city and instead, exploring the local villages and incredible natural scenes. This area is quickly growing and developing into one of Vietnam's most popular tourism destination, even with plans for a future airport being constructed for even easier access from Hanoi. Chu and her family run TWO homestays about 30 minutes down valley from Sapa City. They offer affordable and comfortable rooms and traditional Black Hmong food menu's. They also offer traditional local experiences such as Batik Painting, and nature treks (hikes) in the surrounding area. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying with these wonderful people to get a taste of true local life in this beautiful area. You won't find a more authentic experience with more genuine people. 100% YUMMYFACE APPROVED!!
