ENSEADA REVITALIZAÇÃO DA ORLA Atualização Dezembro 2025

The revitalization project for the Enseada beachfront in São Francisco do Sul has a budget of R$7.5 million. The site is expected to receive standardized kiosks, a traveling stage for shows and events, space for a craft fair, a children's area, sports courts, parking for cars and bicycles, and a deck totaling 510 meters. The architectural project was developed by the Association of Municipalities of Northeast Santa Catarina (Amunesc) and foresees the revitalization of 2.3 kilometers of coastline. The Adrimar Labor Contracting Company won the bid. DNIT/SC still sees the possibility of resuming the BR-280 highway duplication works between São Francisco do Sul and Araquari, lot 1, this year. The project review – the reason for the work stoppage at the end of 2022 – has been completed, and the proposal for a partial return has been presented to the Federal Court of Accounts, in a consultation procedure. The resumption of construction will also require increased funding. An update on the negotiations regarding Lot 1 was provided by the superintendent of DNIT/SC. The department's proposal is to resume work on the already initiated sections, such as the São Francisco do Sul bypass and the area surrounding the Instituto Federal Catarina, where an overpass will be built. The bypass, a new 9km stretch of highway in São Francisco, is the priority because expropriations are further along in that location. The interventions on BR-280/SC will impact up to 50,000 vehicles that travel through the region daily, including residents of the municipalities of Araquari, Balneário Barra do Sul, Guaramirim, Jaraguá do Sul, Joinville, São Francisco do Sul, and Schroeder. The highway connects the region to other states via BRs 101, 116, 158, and 163.
