THE WIND CHANGED EVERYTHING: PADDLE, FISH AND COOK

What started as a simple trout fishing trip quickly turned into an adventure. After portaging into a remote pond in search of trout, strong wind gusts made fishing nearly impossible and forced me to make the tough decision to pack up and portage to another pond. With no food packed for the trip, the pressure was on to catch a trout for supper. As the day unfolded, I battled the wind, explored new water, and raced against time to put a meal on the shore and find a safe way back out. Did the trout cooperate, or was I heading home hungry?
