Speciale Venezia protagonista al Palio delle Antiche Repubbliche Marinare - TG Plus SPORT Venezia

Moments of great celebration this morning at Ca' Farsetti, the seat of the Venice City Hall, where Mayor Simone Venturini, as announced after the victory, welcomed a delegation of athletes who participated in the Palio delle Antiche Repubbliche Maritime in Pisa on June 2nd. The men's crew took first place, bringing the trophy back to Venice, a trophy missing since 2019, and breaking the streak of four consecutive victories for the Genoa Galleon, which finished second in Pisa. With this result, Venice reaches 35 medals in the competition. Applause also went to the women's crew for their second-place finish, which finished behind Pisa along the Arno River, clearly ahead of Genoa and Amalfi. We at TG Plus were there and produced this special report, featuring interviews with: Spartaco Barbo, Technical Director of the Venice Galleon; Giovanni Giusto, President of the Citizens' Committee of the Maritime Republics; Simone Venturini, Mayor of Venice.
