Judía, Atea, Mártir y Santa, Teresa Benedicta de la Cruz: (Edith Stein)
Life of Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, Saint Edith Stein: Jewish, Atheist, Catholic, Carmelite, and Martyr. Edith Stein was born on October 12, 1891, in the then German city of Breslau (today Wroclaw, capital of Silesia, which became part of Poland after World War II). She was the youngest of the Steins' 11 children. Her parents, Sigfred and Auguste, were Jewish merchants. He died before Edith was two years old, and her mother had to manage the business and raise her children.
