Desoto Falls Recreational Area | Most Beautiful Hikes In Georgia | Best Waterfall Hikes In Georgia

Desoto Falls Trail is right outside of Helen, GA in the Chattahoochee National Forest. The trail is 2.2 miles round trip, dog-friendly, and easy to moderate. Head up, there is paid parking. $5. At the trailhead, you cross a wooden bridge and you can go left to the lower falls or right to the upper falls. Both waterfalls are both beautiful. The trail to the waterfalls are just as beautiful. The trails are through the forest next to a creek. It is a very enjoyable hike. About 30 minutes from Helen Georgia, legend holds, a piece of armor was found from DeSoto’s expedition in the mid-1500s. Thank you for watching!
