Series 2/3: Exploring the uncomfortable territory of silence, stillness, and suspended movement
IN BETWEEN THE WHITE SPACES Week #112, Lesson 320 Wednesday, May 20, 2026 WE DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS MUSIC Series: When there’s nothing to be seen, exploring the uncomfortable territory of silence, stillness, and suspended movement. Foundational Scripture: Psalm 46:10a..Be still, and know that I am God. Foundational Principle: There is a season that people rarely know how to express or describe. It’s not a crisis, it’s not a celebration, it’s not warfare, it’s not breakthrough it’s simply nothing visible. And while some seasons are introduced and marked by thunder, some seasons are marked by the absence of movement and this is what we must learn to adapt to. Today’s Scripture Reference: Exodus 32:1 ..And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.” Tuesday’s Lesson Points: 1) It is in this “white space” season that we understand that “empty” does not mean “abandoned”. 2) We are (sometimes) addicted to movement. 3) White spaces reveals the believer’s identity. Lesson 2/3: “THE DANGER OF MISREADING QUIET SEASONS: Learning Not to Create Storms Because You’re Uncomfortable With Calm” Points: To our dismay, many people sabotage stable seasons because they do not know how to emotionally process stillness. As a matter of fact (and to our dismay), some people only feel alive when something is wrong. 1) Stillness can make immature people anxious. When nothing is happening insecurity starts talking imagination starts wandering and flesh starts manufacturing problems. This type of behavior will destroy your marriage. 2) Not every season needs interpretation. Sometimes we over-spiritualize neutrality. Every quiet season is not—spiritual warfare, sabotage, or divine punishment. Sometimes life is simply in transition without visible manifestation. 3) Calm seasons are where emotional discipline grows. Consistency is often developed during uneventful seasons. Can you be faithful without emotional highs, visible rewards, excitement? Statement: Some people drown in calm water because they have only learned how to survive in storms. Learn how to be settle when God is doing nothing.
