In A Landscape by John Cage (arranged for tuned gongs, crotales, and electric bass)
In A Landscape (1948) by John Cage (1912-1992) is a composition for solo piano. Though it is commonly played by percussionists on the marimba, I came to the realization that the resonance and range of the piano needed to be acknowledged. With a very good set of tuned Thai gongs, crotales, and an electric bass, this piece is not only accessible for a percussionist. But also quite enjoyable for listeners who appreciate the music of Cage or even just the soothing sounds of well-tuned gongs. Arranged/Recorded/Performed by Garrett Mendelow Video produced by Val Eydelman https://valsgotmedia.com/ Gongs available from The Gong Shop (SF) https://www.thegongshop.com/
