Prefabrication & Modularization: Installing Bathroom PODS - The Weitz Company

When our team at The Weitz Company looks at a construction project, if repetition or difficult conditions exist, efficiencies can be gained. With the Hilton Des Moines Downtown hotel, we knew there would be five floors of repetition, and our mindset going into the build was to maximize our Lean construction disciplines on these floors. Bathroom PODs were identified as having the capability to provide several efficiencies such as Nothing Hits the Floor, Just-in-Time Delivery and additional prefabrication options – all of which enables a better construction experience for our customers.
