Sheikh Ihsan Jampes (born in Jampes Hamlet, Putih Village, Gampengrejo District, Kediri Regency, East Java, in 1901 AD - died on September 16, 1952 AD at the age of 51) was a prominent Islamic scholar from Kediri who was influential in the spread of Islamic teachings throughout the Indonesian archipelago in the 20th century. He was the founder of the Jampes Islamic Boarding School in Jampes Hamlet, Putih Village, Gampengrejo District, Kediri Regency. He is also known for his work, Siraj ath-Thalibin, which is an explanation (syarah) of Imam al-Ghazali's book Minhaj al-Abidin. Besides being known as a Sufi scholar, he is also known as an expert scholar in fields such as falak (astronomy), fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), hadith, and several other religious disciplines. His father, Kiai Muhammad Dahlan, was the founder of the Jampes Islamic Boarding School which has now changed its name to the Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School.[1] His mother was named Nyai Artimah, the daughter of Kiai Ahmad Shaleh, Banjar Melati, Kediri, who was also the mother-in-law of Kiai Ma'ruf, the founder of the Kedunglo Islamic Boarding School and K.H. Abdul Karim (Kiai Manaf) was the founder of the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School, Kediri.
