What Happened To Boston Garden? ABANDONED?
Before TD Garden, the Boston Celtics and Bruins played in the step cousin of Madison Square Garden--Boston Garden. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the arena existed before the modern sports it hosted, which would eventually become obvious. Multiple Celtic and Bruins dynasties played in this venue before moving to their current arena in 1995. The garden would be torn down in 1998, but it wouldn't be until 2021 that the hub on causeway would be complete, replacing Boston Garden nearly a century after the arena's groundbreaking.
