Today we're filled with a mixture of joy and sadness. Joy because a friend, Mígue from Antílopez, is visiting us to present his new solo project. And it's precisely because 'Antílopez,' the duo he formed with Félix and one of the show's favorite groups, recently broke up that we also feel that sadness. But even if you think about it carefully, this also has its silver lining: we'll be able to enjoy it twice as much because we love them both. Of course, we'll have Félix, also a good friend of the show, back later with his new project as Fé García. So let's focus on the positive, the here and now, which gives us the chance to discover Mígue's new music and enjoy his wit, his humor, and, of course, that fresh, original music he's accustomed us to, with his unique blend of pop, flamenco, and carnival, which he'll surely season with his vibrant lyrics, always full of wordplay, tenderness, and profound insights. Those of us who know him also know that Mígue isn't just a musician, composer, and singer; he's also ventured into literature, writing his first book, 'El Poeta Hijo De Su Madre' (The Poet, Son of His Mother), based on his mother's advice; a collection of poems full of humor, reflections, and the occasional truth disguised as a joke... the kind that makes you burst out laughing and then stare into space. We've also decided to play matchmaker, because we're bringing him together with another friend of the show and renowned wordsmith, the Cuban improvisational poet, Alexis Díaz Pimienta... and who knows, maybe a collaboration will come of it... what's certain is that they'll get along famously. So today, we intend, once again, to celebrate music and humor, in an hour full of absurdity, with the power of words, the magic of live performance, and moments to remember.
