The group arrived at the temple complex around 4:00 PM WIB. In addition to the monks, the group also included members of the congregation, volunteers, and a security team. They were greeted by the congregation, who had previously waited around the temple complex. The monks also entered the Sewu Temple area to perform their prayers. Sundoko, the Thudong committee member, stated that the journey began from Sima Temple in Jepara Regency on May 20, 2026. He explained that the planned arrival at Sewu Temple was the day before the Vesak celebrations. "Yes, that's in line with our planned schedule," he told TribunSolo.com. The journey took place from Jepara, Demak, Semarang, Salatiga, Ampel, Boyolali, and ended in Klaten. Sundoko explained that the Thudong tradition also serves as a way to welcome Vesak Day.
