Inverness CT made it to the final of the Scottish League Cup for the first time after seeing off Hearts after extra time and penalties in an incredible cup tie at Easter Road. Greg Tansey opened the scoring with an unstoppable shot from 25 yards ten minutes into the second half. The Caley Jags were then reduced to ten men after Gary Warren saw red. Hearts' set piece specialist Jamie Hamill scored twice in the space of two minutes, with both goals coming from free kicks just outside the box. ICT centre back Josh Meekings was sent off a minute into stoppage time but, incredibly, it was the 9-man side that took the lead in the fifth minute of added time with the goal coming from Nick Ross. Neither side could finds the net in extra time and it took penalties to separate them with Ross Draper scoring the decisive kick for the Highlanders!
