The Shed - Documentary

The Shed in Turners Cross, Cork city, is where Cork cities more 'passionate' fans reside. I heard there were plans to knock it in order to make the stadium all seated, finishing off the long standing traction of watching games whilst standing on terraces. I followed the team and the fans through the last season of the shed, they just happened to win. the reckon league the night before the shed was finally knocked! The cup being thrown into the shed is still one of my favourite ever moments, as I filmed I felt the hairs on the back of my neck and I knew this was one of those special rare moments in documentary filmmaking. I was helped lots by my friends on this one, Brian Barry for general advice and poster design, Fergus Long, Cormac O'Conner and Keith O'Shea for extra filming, Eoin McGuirk for editing and Rob Monaghan for voice over. As always the Cork film centre were indispensable.
