They moved into an apartment and stopped paying rent almost immediately. Mr. Grzegorz from Cieszyn estimates they owe him 17,500 PLN. The tenants are a mother and son. Although both are officially unemployed, they own a car worth over 100,000 PLN. The owner of the studio apartment is paying off a mortgage; he doesn't work because he's dedicated to caring for children with disabilities. Mr. Grzegorz lives in Bielsko-Biała. He and his wife are raising three children, two of whom are disabled. He doesn't work, caring for the children, who are not independent. To fund their rehabilitation, he rented a studio apartment in Cieszyn last December. He bought the apartment twenty years ago with a mortgage, which he is still paying off.
