The boat took me around 300 hours to build. So what I show in this video is very condensed. Still, I think it should give a pretty clear idea of the steps that are involved in the boatbuilding process. Building a lapstrake boat is complex. But if you break it down, each little step in the construction process is not difficult - even for someone who has never built a boat before. For a first-time boatbuilder, I think a boat like this one would be a great alternative to a strip kayak or a kit boat.
