The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education investigated the facts by interviewing the Baejae High School principal and the baseball team coach. One of the student athletes admitted to leading the chant of "Starbucks," while another shouted "Tank Day." It has been confirmed that the manager and four members of the coaching staff stated they were out in the bullpen and on the field at the time and were not fully aware of the situation. There were no adults present to intervene. The school decided to refer the students to the Student Life Education Committee to discuss disciplinary procedures. However, since Baejae High School is a private school, the school can only make recommendations regarding the disciplinary action against the teachers. The City Office of Education sent an urgent official letter to elementary, middle, and high schools operating athletic teams, ordering them to inspect and educate on cheering culture. The plan is to conduct on-site inspections to verify implementation by next month and to simultaneously provide ethics training for coaches.
