The 11-day trek to Everest Base Camp came at a price, literally. To hike the 120 km and travel to and from the region by plane, we had to invest in warm clothing, airfare, and a guide. In addition, during our time in the mountains, we spent money on accommodation, food, showers, water, internet, and mobile phone top-ups. And the higher we climbed, the more expensive these things became. Here and on our blog, we detail the expenses we incurred as a couple in March 2025.
