Oh, oh, oh, how stupid we humans are. Slandering local places, acting superior, pretending to be experts but actually knowing nothing—our stupidity is boundless. We are all guilty of small, unintentional blunders from time to time. Going to the store with a tiny bag, having the time management of an amoeba, getting lost amidst dense signage—nothing is foreign to us. So be it. But stupidity coupled with decisiveness and power can move treacherous mountains. Utterly dumb leaders can gather huge TikTok queues like the Pied Piper of Hamelin, on their way to something horrible. Dumb people are very certain about things but can get incredibly offended if they push back. No! Just go back on something! Say sorry if you’ve made a stupid statement. It is refreshing and shows wisdom to admit that you are sometimes wrong. If you don’t know something, you aren’t immediately stupid. Just say: ‘I don’t know’ and be proud of it. Be curious about how others think about something and ask yourself questions. A complex problem cannot be solved with a soundbite, no matter how much we want to. It takes agonizing, weighing the pros and cons to ultimately arrive at the least bad solution. Can the listener's problem be solved with two separate duvets or two separate beds? Cuddling up spooning isn't always healthy, but it is cozy. What now? Our guru is drop-dead gorgeous and is firmly in her Sophia phase. Bravo!
